Faces of Freedom will be jointly displayed with Odegard carpets in a new gallery space at the Miami International Airport. The collection of photos takes you behind the looms and inside the lives of “carpet kids” – children illegally employed to weave carpets in India, Nepal and Pakistan.

In partnership with the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Faces of Freedom is on display in the Danny Kaye Visitors Center, UNICEF House, 3 U.N. Plaza at 44th Street New York, September 23 through Oct. 30, 2009. Entrance is free and open to the general public. A preview of the exhibit and launch event for the GoodWeave certification program was held at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF September 23. The Melberger Arts Center will host a digital showing of Faces of Freedom in conjunction with the International Interdependence Hexagon Project, a project for junior and senior high school students worldwide.
